[RESOLVED] CSS button position

Hi all, I'm creating page bar buttons. In my sample page (to get the styles right) its working perfectly as you can see here http://derokorian.com/temp.php However when I tried to include the styles and static pages on my site the buttons with text the image part shows up lower than the image part for the other buttons as seen here http://derokorian.com/blog/recent?s=1

When I use Chrome's inspect element feature, the computer styles on the working and non-working pages are identical (except for color styles) for both the anchor element and its child span element. Same goes using FireBug to check computed styles.

Can anyone see why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

Bah NVM, fixed it by adding the span class to the non-breaking spaces... although now they are all lower they are all in line heh.

I'd say it's the bottom:3px rule you have in span.pbText. Might want to try just 1px.

Nah that rule was to get the text to move up onto the image, turns out if I just put the span around the   then I don't need the position: relative OR the bottom rule. Thanks tho!
