Well what I'm goin to ask seems weird to me also, but I'll try anyway, at least
I have your opinion too....
In my web site I implmented a search engine.
Anytime a user sends a POST/GET request to this engine i also log
the search terms and other data like the REMOTE ADDR of the sender request.
Well any time i go online and send the request the search is logged twice n sometimes 3 times...I immediately thought It was my mistake that i send 2 or more queries....
but I was surprised when I looked better at the search logs and saw the second or eventually third call have REMOTE_ADDR that lookup to googlebot...
How is it possible? I haven't made any script that is related to this event...
I thought it could be because of the google analytics... I comment it out but no changes... always double request...
This happens always from my location... but some other user around the world
is tracked with only one record/search....
😕
How to explain this?
Thanks
