No idea where to start?

Hello - Firstly thanks for taking the time to read my message..

Ok, here is my problem, I am rubbish when it comes to php, I understand the principles but have never really coded it out myself and generally copy and pasted it from google etc.. My friend had a website that someone else created for her (who is not contactable anymore) basically it inserts properties for rent, it has all been created with php, she has her own admin log in pages to edit her listings etc.

What she wants is for her homepage to have a search box that people can search on availability ie. drop down box, select month and then the results will list what properties have availability that month, I know she records the availability in her admin site but it is only viewable on the individual property page, no where else...

Her other request is to do with images, when she creates a property profile page the result is small images listed on that page, she would like an option to be able to click on that image and enlarge it...

I really want to help her out and willing to learn as much PHP as possible to figure out but if anyone can send me in the right direction, give me any hints, website links etc etc - I will be greatly thankful for.

you either have a lot to learn, or what i would really suggest is to hire some one - good luck.

you actually should start knowing PHP, what actually it is and what you can do with it?
in how many ways you can develop codes in PHP
