Multiple Date Managment

I have recently taken over Web Management of a Non-Profit Org. that had a previous form written up by their previous coder. This code uses greater than and less than expressions to allow clients to make tour reservations of their facilities. They are currently running tours from the 1st of May thru the 31st and then again from the 14th of August to the 14th of September.

Currently I am only able to allow the reservations to take place in May and not in both May and August. I have tried different combinations to allow for both times of year to allow reservations, but have been unable to resolve. Attached is a doc with the code section that controls the dates. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have submitted a proposal to spend some time in their off season to reformat this form from the ground up, but they are reluctant to do so.

They should probably hire a professional --- and the first question in the interview should be, "Rewrite this code using [man]switch/man". 😉

As for you, the erstwhile maintainer---if you're familiar with [man]strtotime/man, you should use it.

Oh, and welcome to PHPBuilder! You'll find helpful people here ... but we don't suffer fools too gladly. Use a sensible subject line, search before posting, format things nicely ... etc.

Also, please think about using plaintext attachments for code. Not everyone likes doc., not everyone has doc, and *txt doesn't generally carry malware. In this case, it was quite short enough you could have easily just put it in PHP bbcode tags 😉
