Help with php currency converter

I need to make work a currency converter but with a specific html design. I think to use this code for conversion:

and call the conversion with:
echo currency_convert(100,'EUR','RON');

how can insert this function in my html design?

First off, don't use the interface meant for humans - use Yahoo's API. For example, fetching the contents of this URL:

http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=EURRON=X&f=sl1d1t1&e=.csv

will get you the conversion rate from euros to Romanian lei.

Second, I don't understand your question. You can't insert a PHP function into an HTML document - that doesn't make any sense; HTML is simply text that is being sent as output from your PHP script.

i cant get the textarea value and put in php $var.. ?..to replace the amount "100" with value from textarea in call function?

yes but my page run well if i put the php extension and i insert the function inside and the call echo, the mean of my post is how i extract the value from html - div ; fields and assign a php variable for the converter script! Please look if the script can be inserted in convertor graphic fields.Wait for a answer.
