How to open application from web page?

Hi,

I have a local webpage on one of my servers.

I want to be able to click a link on that webpage and it runs a .exe application on the computer.

For example , I click a hyperlink and on the computer Notepad.exe opens up.

Please help me with this in the simplest way possible.

See the [man]exec[/man] section of the PHP manual. Note that if the computer is running the web daemon as a Windows service, you'll have to enable the 'Allow service to interact with desktop' option in the Services MMC snap-in.
