I had spent a good 10+ hours attempting to set up a server on my own computer with apache with php and mysql, and eventually got too frustrated to continue. I had remembered my friend told me about a **********.com that allows for free website hosting. After signing up a receiving an account, I found that I can't view my own website from my own computer. going to proxy websites allows me to load it fine, as well as from other computers. The only problem is I don't want to have to travel every time I want to practice php, and proxy websites have certain restrictions on what you can do on the website without becoming a paid subscriber to the proxy website. Does anybody have an idea on how to fix my problem? I've run DNS checks and multiple antivirus software scans to make sure it is not a virus, and I don't know what else to look for.
