I am writing a small script addition to a website, not that good at php functions.

I need a snippet of code that will do this:

Up to 3 widgets cost $5. With that known, I need a script that will check the widget number then tell the person how many more than can order.

$widget = 1

// php check here

You have 1 widget, you can get 2 more at no cost!

or

$widget = 2

You have 2 widgets, you can get 1 more at no cost!

and so on...

Any help would be appreciated.

you can do it by using appropriate logic of if else

You don't need to know much in the way of "PHP" functions, just enough high school maths to know what a modulus is, and the fact that PHP has a modulus operator.
