Full Text Indexing Question

Hi all

I am using Full Text Indexing for the search of my site. The client has recently indicated when they serach for a word (e.g:

"paper"

They are not getting results that include words such as:

"paperback", "paperboy", "paperless", "sandpaper"

They do obviously get results when the word is found as "paper" in the content.

Now is it possible to get Full Text Indexing to search part of strings? I am reluctant to switch to LIKE queries and would really like to stick with Full Text.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

use IN BOOLEAN MODE. Then you can use wildcards* in your search. There are other differences as well, however, that might affect your results: follow the link.

Thanks trag but IN BOOLEAN MODE will not find "sandpaper" in my example below.

Thisis because "paper" is at the end of the string unlike "paperboy" where it negins with the search criteria.

Any thoughts?
