Comparing IP Addresses

Hi
Is there a simple way to compare 2 IP Addresses and see if they are within the same range ?

Eg : Compare 192.168.10.6 & 192.168.52.100

at this point I don;t need to worry about the subnet, I just want to see if they are with in the same ranges.

Well, first thing you'd have to do is define what "same range" means.
