unexpected T_PUBLIC

Hi, I have been following along with the Colored Lists "Create a Web App From Scratch" tutorial. When I tried to test sign up for an account by entering my email I got this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PUBLIC in .... on line 159

Line 159 says:

public function verifyAccount()

I'm very new to PHP.

Sounds like you've got a syntax error somewhere in the previous statement.

You may have forgotten to end your last line with a semicolon, this is most common for unexpected T_PUBLIC type of error. The program assumes that you have yet to finish your last statement, and it encounters a public keyword coming from nowhere.

The first time I got this error was a quite strange one, had it in line 1 and no idea what went wrong. In the end I realized I wrote something like 'public class', while in PHP class visibility is not available. XD
