Large Data Storage Issue

Hi,

    I am making the website where I have to store a large amount of data like plenty of books using PHP MYSQL. Could any body tell me that what the best way to save books in a database so then what data type we have to use OR should be save in txt file format ?

Plan out all of the different "objects" or "things" your database will describe.
Plan out the relations between each of those "objects"/"things".
Implement your plan (e.g. create the necessary tables, keys, foreign key relationships, etc.).
Done.

So, you're keeping a list of the books, and their authors, publishers, copyright years, prices? Or are you saving the text of all these books, chapter headings, every word of the chapter ... or perhaps you have scanned JPG images ... or the books each have hundreds of pages in PDF format ...

Your "question" begs a lot of other questions, when you get right down to it.

This isn't a homework assignment in some CS class somewhere, is it? :eek:
