Speed up PHP scripts?

I am developing a iOS app which relies on executing a PHP script. It works while connected to WiFi. However, if using cellular data, the script times-out and does not fully execute. Anyone willing to check out the code and see where it can be speed up? I am new to PHP and ciuld use any help with this.

I'd suspect that it has more to do with the connection speed than the script execution speed. How long is it taking over cellular? You have [font=monospace]CURLOPT_TIMEOUT[/font] set at 50 seconds, is it really taking that long?

I am unsure. Now I am getting this over cellular:

Response Error.

Technical description:
502 Bad Gateway - Response error, a bad response was received from another proxy server or the destination origin server.

This is only over cellular data. Over wifi, it works fine.

I don't understand why it works over WiFi but not cellular data...

The error message seems to indicate the cell net is running through a proxy (or perhaps more than one). Perhaps that helps?
