how to add php pages in shtml?

Hello all,

i designed my site in shtml(to include other shtml pages). but now i want to add some php page inside the shtml pages.
i tried <?php include("file.php") ?> and  but still is not working. and also made changes in htaccess file but still no result.

i need this code validation part in JavaScript and rest part in php so m able to use this script to send mails to other users who view my web.
actually my main problem is my web designed in shtml and i want to use above php script in inside the shtml page. i tried by different way like <--#include virtual..
<?php include...or .htaccess but no use.. so i using different way to use php... like i designed form in shtml and popup the form with j query. and i want validation in JavaScript and mail fire through php code...hope you understand by problem.........plz help ........thanks. 🙂

It's difficult to read your code when it is not formatted.

I'm pretty sure mixing PHP and shtml is possible, but -off the top of my head- I can't imagine a situation where it would be desirable (i.e., where the benefits would outweigh the complication).

Beyond that, your question is still unclear. Your most recent post seems mostly unrelated to the one before it. Can you explain your situation clearly, and tell us what your specific goals and problems are?

Allowing .shtml files to parse PHP is part of the server configuration. Is there any particular reason why you want to do this? Why not jut make them .php files instead? You can still have HTML markup in the .php files.

Also, when validating email addresses in PHP, use [man]filter_var[/man] and pass it the FILTER_VALIDATE_EMAIL flag as the second argument. Don't bother with all these substrings and ridiculous regular expressions.

thanks for advice friend. The reason behind to use shtml is my whole web is designed in shtml. and i don't have enough time to change it. i will change it in future.
but right now i need a solution to add php files inside shtml. or if you able change my above script in JavaScript and php ..iam thankful to you. because shtml
allow to redirect php pages but fail to call inside.......thanks in advance.

What did you put in the .htaccess file?

Otherwise, you could just change the extensions to php, provided you even have access to PHP on your server?

Yes, you will not be able to run any PHP code in a .shtml file by default. You will have to make a change to your server configuration or make a change to your .htaccess file.
