[RESOLVED] Need Help with session

I'm having trouble with this script, I have no formal PHP training so I really get stuck some times.

Don't know if this is the right way to should whats wrong but here goes. I'm putting my code below if some could help that would be great. Thx.

I'm try to create a site for my insurance business to do a paycheck analysis for my customers and I get even get pass the login and registration forms.

As for your problem, here are a few comments I have:

You never actually described what the problem is! It's hard for us to help you fix something if you don't tell us what's wrong with it... 😉
Why are you using output buffering (e.g. [man]ob_start/man)? There's no need for it here, thus using it only adds an unnecessary burden on the server.
Where do you define the function session_strat()? (Perhaps you meant [man]session_start/man?)
Code like this:

if($_SESSION['UserName'])
```
will generate an E_NOTICE level error message if the external data doesn't exist. As such, you should always verify external data exists before you attempt to use it (e.g. by using [man]isset/man, [man]empty/man, [man]array_key_exists/man, etc.).
Where do you define the variable $GET? (Perhaps you meant to reference the predefined superglobal $_GET?)

I'm so new a lot of your questions I don't know what to answer, so sorry.

I'm learning from a video on you tube, so the things you see in the code are from him the why I can't answer.

If you know a easy why to get a secure login and registration setup that would be great. I'm made a program in excel to do some financial calculations and I
I'm trying to see if I can get it setup on line. No the excel program it's self but what it does.

I need to login people so they can see their private info and change it when needed. Also the site need to do the calculations for their paycheck analysis. I have a lot of work ahead of me.

I'm just try to get the login setup for now. I had setup using Dreamweaver but I could not keep peoples info private every body has access to all info on the site. So I started looking for a way to stop that and that's how I got here.

Probably not a good idea getting tuts from YouTube if the mispellings are an indicator..

session_destory (); should be session_destroy();

<a herf='... should be <a href='...

but this looks to be an over simplistic login routine..

Why not get your math functions working first as that should be easier and you will learn more of the PHP preliminaries with less frustration
