Hello everyone my name is haad.

i am creating my own social networking site

and i need some code do perform the following tasks , i did look
everwhere but coudl not find it , if someone could help that would be really nice .... much appreciated

I need help on :

user location , or area like for example haadk lives in london redbridge , should be displayed in the profil
2.system being able to based on three questions , allow to find a match for the user , a profil that matches his or hers
how to make online profils on a specific page and display all the online profiles

Other than having the user actually supply the information to you in their profile, your other likely option would be IP address based geolocation, using an IP-to-location database. Of course, this only works if the user is not going through some proxy in a different location (such as the many people using VPNs these days when surfing the web).

If it is in the user's best interest to provide their location, you should have no problem getting them to provide their location information. if they don't want to provide it, there might be some way to acquire it, but this could alienate your customers.

As for matching people based on the answers to three questions, you are going to have to put some thought into that. It's a pretty vague description. What makes users match? Do your questions have yes/no answers or numeric values? string values?
