What am i doing wrong here?

Not supplying important information in your post.

The error message (if you read it) is pointing you to something being wrong with [font=monospace]$mysqli[/font]. So what is [font=monospace]$mysqli[/font]? Where is the code that defines it, and where is that in relation to what you've posted?
