In PDO if I prepare a statement I can use placeholders with names like :email or :username. But in mysqli prepared statements I have to use ? and order them exactly right. Can I use named placeholders in mysqli? It does't mention this in the execute part of mysqli manual afik.
No, you must use simple markers.
Of course, you could use PDO with a MySQL DSN, and then use named place-holders. 🙂
