Any particular reason(s) why, out of curiosity?
At any rate, it could be worse. Take ASP, for example.

Ah, just tried to setup a testbed for a co-worker who, um, shouldn't be given the keys to the kingdom. But suPHP won't let her run anything, because the domain's directory structure is owned by someone else. Of course, I'm sure that's the entire point of suPHP ... but on a dedicated box I'm not so certain that it's much of an asset ... I've wasted a good bit of company time just playing with it ...
