I get fatal errors and warnings

Hello,
I have a school Management system but the developer stopped communicating before solving all the issues. The major issue now is that i get fatal errors and warnings when i click on Create New academic year. The results i get are below;

I have tried to look for this file "new_acad_year.php" and the code for that file is attached

So, where could the problem be coming from or what is missing? I will give you the login details of the admin to test it yourself.

The mkdir() function isn't creating a directory because the path given to it is, for some unknown/unforeseen reason, invalid.

mkdir("../../archives/admin/student/photos/".$dir,0777);

Can you verify that a directory structure like that given in the line above exists relative to the script being called/used?

Additionally, without the third parameter for mkdir, it will only make the bottom level folder and only if all folders above it exist. Try passing in the third argument as true, which creates the directories recursively.

What script are you actually running (do you know)?

Can you post the complete PATH for the script that's running? And is this script "new_acad_year.php", or something else? What is the complete path to "new_acad_year.php"?

Please do also read Derokorian's note. For that, you'd add a comma and the number "one":

Is there a way to private message/email you the login details of the script page so that you can see the exact problem? Otherwise its running on php.

I have created two directory structure as below
"../../archives/admin/student/photos/" AND "../../archives/admin/teacher/photos/"

And when i tried to run click on Create New academic year, i got only one line of fatal error below;

NOW WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

It means you don't have the function [man]mysql_create_db[/man]; most likely you haven't got the (deprecated) MySQL extension installed. (If it is installed, there will be a section for it in [man]phpinfo[/man]).

It might be that your developer is otherwise using the newer MySQLi extension throughout your mysql class (it's ten years old but still newer than the MySQL extension), but didn't know how to create a database using MySQLi (viz. use [man]mysqli_query[/man] to issue a [font=monospace]CREATE DATABASE[/font] command).
