I want to create a HDMI animation that loops and has moving objects in all 3 dimensions. I would have used Flash 5-6 years ago but flash is long gone.

What is the best way of doing this these days?

HTML5 with JavaScript objects?
Create in a 3rd party software and play a video (least desirable way as it would require recompiling of my video)

What other options?

Something like this

I used to use 3Dmax all the time - then that work dried up. There was a vector exporter to Flash back then.
    Hmm yes tricky..
People do still use Actionscript & Flex and, ahem, Shockwave and Director 3d.
But AFAIK there's nothing at all close to what Flash could do - bit of a disaster if you ask me, but we have almighty Steve to blame for that.
There's a game dev tool called Gideros I looked into but it's more for Apps.
Please update this thread if you find something.

I have seen some pretty impressive stuff with the <canvas> tag and JavaScript.

        23 days later

I was just reading about Haxe and OpenFL
Could be a good solution ?
