How to recover corrupted .ldf file?

Hey all, I have a ldf file from a hard drive that was corrupted and the corruption caused problems with the same file. It shows the error: "Error 823: I/O error 38(reached the end of the file.).... Please suggest me what to do???
Any help will be appreciated!

Unless I'm mistaken, and LDF file is a transaction log for a microsoft SQL server. You MIGHT be able to reconstruct a database from it, but that sounds like a chore. You might want to search for "corrupted LDF repair" or something like that -- although I think that if it's really a log file than it maybe isn't the data source file you think it is. It's just a log file.
