"Illegal string offset" since new Webhoster

Hi everyone, I have a strange problem.
Everything was working all fine but since I moved my website to a new Webhoster i have this type of error :
"Illegal string offset"

It is coming from this line :

$' . (($price['price'] > 0) ? $price : 'Free') . '

Is there anything wrong in this code line ?

If $price is a string rather than an associative array having the key 'price', that would indeed be a mistake resulting in an "illegal string offset" error.

I'm not really a developper, I just try to customise some lines here and there.
So how should I write that ?
Considering I have this towards the top of my php :
$price = $row["price"];

Perhaps you should change $price['price'] to $price.
