Calculation of Earned days Here is where the system informs applicant, admin and manager of the number leave days a specific applicant has qualified for. It is computed as below is an illustration. • In a year applicant qualifies for 1.75 days per month. • So = January (1.75), February (1.752), March (1.753) … December (1.7512 (which makes up 21 days)). • In a case where applicant has leave days carried forward from 2015 e.g. 5 days from 2015 and wants to go for leave on March = 5+(1.753). • So I was suggesting if we have the system ready for March, then we take balance for 2015 Jan and Feb for everyone then going forward = Balance +1.75 considering March is month1… December= month10. Calculation for Leave liability. • Leave liability = earned days/21salary • E.g. applicant earned days =5, salary = 60K. Leave liability = 5/2160 = 14,286.
