I'll have you know I made a brand spanking new web page, with ajax requests and populated tables dynamically.... and I used jQuery cuz screw all that nonsense.

I'll clap ... anything finished is worth that.

Of course, I kind of think that the mess described by the article is the fault of people who think like the people who created jQuery.

I probably shouldn't say that, because they think a lot like the people who created Laravel and CodeIgniter and CakePHP and ... I might need a new job someday. (Shoot, I probably need a new job now, but I've got one I don't have to leave at least...)

JavaScript is a language that doesn't have a standard library or much support for managing large projects (who in the 1990s would write a large project in a web page?) Result: http://xkcd.com/927/
