years over years i have used filezilla as sftp-client

which system do you use!?

Either filezilla, or else just sftp from the command line.

Pretty much everyone in IT here (all 3 of us, LOL) has Filezilla (and they BETTER have it set for 'sftp'), but I use scp or sftp from the shell quite often, and there's a fair bit of automated use of those utilities as well.
