Guess it could be me/caching issue/whatnot, but "activity.php" isn't showing anything for about a week ...

There's some funky stuff going on, and sister site Webdeveloper.com is worse, if anything. Hopefully the people in charge get their ducks in a row soon and fix whatever got broken. 🙁

Has anyone else lost the PHPBuilder icon here? Or is it just me?

Also, the forum lists are being slow to update (NogDog's post just above still isn't appearing, and nor is his slightly earlier one in the Echo Lounge).

And I just bet that when I hit "Post" I'll be told there's a "Database error" even through the post was made.

Do you mean the "favicon"? Still appears in Chrome on my office workstation. Haven't looked @home.

Yeah, that's the one; I'm just seeing the default vBulletin.

              a month later

FYI: I can help with vBulletin installs ... and trouble-shooting, and fixing. I'll work on my private rate sheet for ya 😉

My understanding is that the new owners will be replacing vBulletin with something else.

Yes vBulletin is being replaced. The last news I heard is that all threads/posts, member profiles and file attachments will be going to the new site.

                    ... sometime in 2019 ...

                    I jest ... a little. ;-)

I know how tough that sort of operation is. Truth. The reason I was hired at my current position 7+ years ago was because I assured them I could move 3 forum communities from CFForum to vBulletin within the first year. I did, but it wasn't easy.

That said, why in the world is this site having so many issues? "Everything" will get on a new site but the users will all already have gone somewhere else due to dissatisfaction with the current state-of-the-board ... false "DB errors", smilies are not working, recent activity page is shot to Hades. I'm already visiting another forum more often than this one simply because there's more activity noticeable there... because, I assume, the site works.

                    That's why I made the offer. :-)
