I posted a friendly note on the 13th with a happy new year and was immediately accused of something involving tshirts. Can you please explain what this is all about?
I have been back in here many times over the past 10 years and nobody has ever said anything to me about tshirts. I never took any money for tshirts. Maybe, I talked about designing something but that would have been just for fun...
I would like my accounts back.

If you are J.V., aka "Vaskerville" and "Vaaaska", I was just kind of teasing to say I remembered you when I mentioned the shirts. And yes, that was a fun thing to discuss and no money exchanged hands, nor do I remember any requirement to do so or any discussion of a real payment of monies being made to anyone for any reason. You should be okay.
Furthermore, I'm not a mod, never have been here, and can't ban you or suspend your accounts or what-not and I've never pushed a report button on any thread of yours.
What has happened to your accounts? Is account recovery not working? It does appear there are some technical issues/problems going on ... see a thread I started in the "Feedback" sub-forum ...
I think I first mentioned the T-shirts after the Børken Source episode, after some of the things being said sounded like t-shirt slogans.
I haven't banned any /[Vv]a*/ usernames, and "Vaskerville" doesn't appear to be banned. But then it doesn't show any activity since 2015, and I saw the post only a few days ago. Mind you, I can't find that thread either. The site db is going wacky at the moment and I hope it's sorted soon.
But I found [thread=10275364]the thread where you actually had the discussion[/thread]. Okay piersk suggested it first as an official site thing, I recalled the Broken Source thing, and you said you'd make some from second-hand shirts and spraypaint if customers included "cash, return email addresss, SSN and mothers maiden name within the body of your email."
Not banworthy. Especially twelve years later.
There are some funky things going on with the site, including database issues, for reasons that hopefully will clear up soon (but I'm not at liberty to discuss yet). I'm not aware of any recent discussions in the moderation room regarding issues with your account -- so maybe give it a few days for the site maintainers to fix things, then check again?
PS: Looking in the user profile stuff under the moderation tools, it looks like Vaskerville is in a valid status, but Vaskerville2 is in an "awaiting email confirmation" status. (shrug)
The posts were deleted (from another thread) and I can't login nor can I request passwords for my old accounts. I thought I was massively banned - which didn't make any sense. I didn't know there were issues around here - apparently serious.

Hey, if you want a tshirt design I'll get on it right away. Eventhough after I post this message I will probably be auto locked out again (just like the post above).

I think you mean "More Börken"?
It's actually been running rather well until recently, at least on the surface. There's been a change in ownership & probably in hosting (as one would expect in that case) since the Elder Days(tm), but this stuff has only been going on a couple weeks at most I think.
And, interestingly enough, my son is now a professional T-shirt designer and printer, so I'm OK with you just being yourself and doing whatever you need to ...
Create a new ID every time I wish to post. Anyways, I would love to chat but since I'm going to be logged out almost immediately after I post why bother trying at the moment.
The DB Error happens to everyone... That's a site related issue and has nothing to do with user accounts...
When I look at your IP addresses I come up with this rather long list of ACTIVE user accounts:

Pick an account and describe in GREAT DETAIL what is going on with it when you use it.
If it's a login issue - provide me with a new email address.... We have been forcing people to change their passwords and
You might have been caught up with that... A GMAIL account is the easiest to work with.
Once we you get up and running on one account the others will be banned.

That took a really long time for password retrieval to actually work again...
I guess we can mark this thread resolved.
To be fair to Steve R Jones (or whomever), there was obviously a lot more going on than just account recovery issues. Porting from one forum system to another is a rather large project; if it's just one guy doing it I would expect it might take a few weeks (and it did, from what I've observed).
i'm not blaming, i'm just relieved. i could not retrieve anything from my old accounts, my new accounts. i would create an account and be able to post for 10 minutes and then poof, i was out again. happy that it's resolved now.
What a fiasco...happy I can login and that I wasn't banned. I'd be happy if this thread were deleted. But, I'm posting for posterity...should anybody come across this and wonder about this place. It was all just mega tech issues...
