This site clearly has major issues since the move. I'll be crushed if I'm unable to find you guys -- you know who you are. Is there some new place I can find your folks?
where to meet up if this site dies?
This site is going to get rebuilt by the new owners. And the more members they can keep the merrier.
Several people are already members here: http://www.vbforums.com/forum.php

I'd prefer to stay here, but I'm also on Freaks and SO ....
Only other tech forum I spend any time at is Webdeveloper.com -- which is a sister site which is also being transferred to the same new owners. I'm on KBoards.com with the same handle, though I don't spend a lot of time there any more as it's been (figuratively) taken over by e-book authors instead of e-book readers. I keep thinking about starting up a reading forum some day, with the goal of keeping it reader-centric, but, well, life. ¯_(ツ_/¯

I'll believe it when I see it. Hoping so!

I'm also a member there, although I never really have occasion to do windows dev.

OK I'm a member of Webdeveloper forum too and I see you over there too -- although it's quite a mess as well. This kind of consolidation is unsettling and I'm still fairly alarmed that forums like this are going away. Should we become friends on gasp social media or something?
My Twitter handle is public, so @CWReaceJr if anyone cares.

Yes, I actually use my real name there. PM to be sent ASAP with link.
Thanks for getting back to me, guys!
Maybe we should skin this to look EXACTLY like the previous version...haha... Ummm, no.
What forum software is this, I've never seen it before?
The software is called Flarum.
Too much whitespace IMHO. No visual delineation of topics either, from what I can see. I.e., it's hard to see which sub-forum a question belongs to. Also seems to invite random and unrelated commentary.
I also find it visually nice but confusing. At least it works though!
Vaskerville
I'm started to get it figured out. Main thing I see is that it's not full-featured compared to the vB software. Whether or not we really ''needed'' all that functionality is something else, I guess ...
To mirror NogDog's sentiment... I can be found on Twitter @irish1381, SO or css-tricks.com. Though, I enjoy this community of regulars. You all have been great help and teachers. Hope to see this site continue.
Isn't the real money on clandestine meeting places in the case of an apocalypse on Paraguay? Or, was it Uruguay? One of those...who's in?!
I am also at Webdeveloper.com as far as i know they have adopted the same forum look so i guess you guys need a third backup location. I like this, i dont prefer it over v bulletin, but i think in terms of keeping the forum looking more up to date and a user experience akin to that of social media ( UUUGGHH dont shoot me please ) may keep some members around and prevent some of the general dying of forums.
