In all fairness to Jeffrey, these threads were our favorites back in the day; it was, in fact, standard practice that some of them were bumped on purpose, and of course, that others were NOT to be bumped. We even had a "report BUMPers" here thread that might resurrect itself sometime.

My vote would be to take a tad more of a "wait-n-see" attitude with Mr. Vaaska. But, of course, it's your site now.

Oh, and the earliest espresso machine was created in 1884, and Starbucks has been around since 1971. 😉

    Wow. That was simply a fun thread. But, going so far as to post that stupid comment...

    This is exactly what I saw happening around here but didn't want to say it. Bitter attitudes...let it sink.

    Delete ALL my accounts. I admire and appreciate the good guys around here - but this place is a waste of time now. Your skills will be better used and appreciated in other places.

      Just saw your comment Steve in the Elizabeth thread. Seriously, how is that post in any way something bad? How does that make you so bitter? Elizabeth was a central person around here for a time - everybody liked her.

        As someone who's somehow made it to "regular" status here, and having been here since shortly after the beginning of this century (but not as long as Weedpacket), it just bothered me a bit to see someone whom I believe to have attained, or been on the cusp of attaining, that same "regular" status threatened because he remembered some old threads and made some nostalgic commentary on a couple of them.

        But then, I guess I might be one of those guys in the 'red states' that everyone thinks worships the group the current POTUS walks on, has two decades worth of food and ammunition in an underground bunker out back, doesn't think before voting or read the news with any thought given to it, and still thinks it's 1976.

              it's not the first time. somehow i was tagged as a bad person when the old forum software was crap and i couldn't login. and, i had a few old accounts in the past. i'm a bad person...you understand?

              don't have time for this kind of garbage.

              the final thing i will say - now that i changed my login info here - i never needed to post questions around here over the years because i learned how to learn from you guys. eventually, one begins to understand what it really means to RTFM - it just took me some time. note, the community guidelines link here is a 404 - rather apropos.
