      Not a piece of music, but has anyone tried out digital audio players in the post-ipod every-phone-is-a-smartphone era? I'm very tempted to shell out the cash for:

        What makes it attractive to you vs. using a phone: sound quality, storage, something else? If sound quality, also consider the price of good enough headphones/earbuds that you can tell the difference, if you don't already have them. 🙂

          Well, it might be that it can be carried around without purchasing an antivirus app, and the NSA/CIA/AOC (Acronym of Choice) and (FB/Goog/Twit/MSFT/Apple)* can look at you via the camera lens or read your texts and emails to your S.O. ...

          That's what I miss about older tech, anyway ....

          *no airtime given to the known nefarious, just the ones that pretend to be benign ....

            Instead of a phone is one thing, just wasn't sure if was in addition to a phone -- in which case they're watching and listening to you, but maybe can't hear what song you're listening to, depending on your phone's microphone sensitivity -- or it can use it's bluetooth/wifi/cell antenna to pick up the frequencies sent to your headphones. 🙂
