If I have a large array I want to pass it to a function... would it improve performance if I pass the large array via reference? I am not sure I am understanding this right, but, if I pass by reference it's just referring to the array via memory instead of actually copying the array again inside the function or method?
I am working on some programs trying to improve performance and I was thinking the array being copied was eating more memory then just by reference. Then again, I am probably completely off on this.
I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
