Well to keep it short, I started applying for junior positions about a month ago, some agency got in touch with me today saying they would put me on a training course for three months and help me find a junior position in my area. The only catch is I'd have to pay £325 is this a regular occurrence when starting out as a junior or are they simply scam artists?
Too suspicious?
Hard to tell without seeing all the "fine print", so to speak. Are they talking about on-line courses like you could get from Udemy or such (for probably similar costs), or actual classroom training, or something else? For comparison, some of the highly regarded coding "boot camps" in the NYC area might offer 3- or 6-month training (essentially like going to college for a semester) for thousands of dollars, but with delayed payment plans that start when you get your first job. Therefore £325 almost sounds low to me if it's actually useful. If they're requiring money up front with no money-back guarantee if they don't get you a job, I'd be a bit leery -- unless the training looks like it's worth that much money anyway?

Personally I've never encountered such a thing: most agencies realise that it's not the junior jobseeker with the loose dosh around but the potential employers. But things may be different here/there.
In my experience, if it's an actual placement agency you shouldn't be paying anything - the company that hires you would pay the agency. However, if it's a boot camp style situation the price does seem a bit low. Of course, I've never heard anyone talk of a boot camp reaching out to people, but maybe it's a startup boot camp? To be completely honest though, I don't have any personal experience with boot camps so I could well be wrong about that.
It's kind of a boot camp I guess, they say I'd write code starting from basic building up to advanced, it'd take no more than an hour a week. They will phone on Friday again, they said I get some kind of discount because of my degree
This is the company
These reviews seem very good -- though I didn't check for reviews of that reviews site.
NogDog it probably was a once in a lifetime opportunity but what they were asking for up front was not something I had. There'll be other opportunities I guess/hope
