flash w/ php

i heard that there was a new library out that let you create dynamic flash pages (the cool looking shockwave pages) using database returns from php
(if you can't tell, i'm new to this)
does anyone have any information that would help me, or webpages i could look at?

Have a look at www.thickbook.com I think they have a lot of php/flash tutorials.

I think you need macromedia generator 2 to make dynamic flash. You can test the client version of generator for free or pay through the nose for server generator.

Actually, as of the look I just gave it, they have 2, one for sending to a PHP script, and one for getting data FROM a php script.

Flash 4 has the capability of interacting with scripts (php and perl i know for sure, probably any) so it's a matter of learning the scripting language, and ActionScript.

Also Swift-Tools has a generator clone prg that is free, or you can pay to have their advertisment removed.

I have extensive experience utilizing Flash with an ASP scripting backend (database/file backend with a cool Flash front end),and since I have started leaning towards PHP for all my web programming, it shouldn't be that different.

Check out www.oyezoyez.org or www.idealog.org. Both are examples of what I did.

I have one question: Are you trying to CREATE Flash graphics (SWFs) or are you trying to get information into Flash from another source (file, database, etc...)?
