Hello again,

I would like to know if my client has the flash plugin installed. If the client has the plugin a page with a flash swf opens otherwise one with gif files opens...

Any ideas, on how to detect a clients flash plugin using PHP ...

You need to check with something on the client side - JavaScript for example. There will be sample code on the Macromedia website.

i'm new using PHP, but i know you can include HTML CODE in PHP...

Flash offers a HTML code fragment that detects if the user have Flash 4 Plug-in installed or no.. if not, then the browser will try of download it from Macromedia.....

This code is not cross-browser effective. A better way to do it is to request a getURL() command in the first frame of a small flash movie. If it works, the page will forward to a flash version, else it remains as a GIF version.
