PHP Killer !!

i just heard about the new product of Microsof
which Bill Gates told anyone that Unix 'll distinct and having a new web programming called "C# ( C Sharp)" . And Someone told me that C# is PHP Killer! . Is this true?

and anyone have more information about C# please let me know.

c sharp is planned more to be a competitor of java, as far as i know and especially as far as microsoft announced. but the specifications of the language as existing until now are criticized by experts, saying microsoft is pushing c# in a far too early stage and deposited it's specifications at an unappropriate standardizing organisation in geneva.

to me, this seems to be just another defensive marketing action taken by the big one..

PHP is here, and it works. C# is a theory on a piece of paper. My guess is that PHP is the favored language of people who program mostly in procedure methods, with a little OO stuff thrown in when needed, while Java/C#, and other languages like that you program in OO all the time. I don't see those languages appealing to the average PHP developer.
