I'm a second year computer applications student in Dublin, Ireland, and as summer work I have been offered a contract to write a parcel tracking system for a small courier company.
This will be a web app. where the manager types in parcels numbers and their details daily into the DB through the web, and clients then come along to the website to enter their parcel number and get the
status of their parcel.
Now I have looked into PHP/MySQL quite a bit over the last few weeks and really like it, so I have decided to go for a PHP/MySQL implementation.
I was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of any material on the web, or in print that would help me out in
constructing this system, with specific regard to information relating to web based, on-line parcel tracking database systems, how they work and how they are constructed etc,
