Getting NT usernames

I use PHP4 on my intranett and earlier I could read out the $remote_user variable and gain the users NT logon name (without the users having to log in), but after I messed up with the security on IIS4 I'm stuck. I now only get the IUSR_ account (I have tried to enable/disable NT challenge..). Does anyone know how I can get it back or how I can get hold of the users logon name without logging in to the intranett?

I build an activeX dll that do that.....
u can call com objects from php4 for windows...

Hello,

i got the component, i built that for a local intranet application, but we use as client IE 5, and IIS/win2k, u have to take out "Anonymous Access" and check Integrated with windows Security, in the security options.
This only works for the computers in the same Domain(i guess), I test with Netscape but netscape only prompts for username/password while ie promps for Username/password/Domain.....

This only works on the server Side...

What kind of solution are u trying to do?
Intranet?
