PHP4 courses in London

We need to train up a couple of people on PHP (better if it's PHP4) at work.

Not having the time or resources ourselves, are there any courses being offered in the London area?

What sort of level of training are you looking for? An overview of PHP, eg How to do loops, if statements etc? A conversion course from Perl or VB to PHP? Or are you looking to train pepople in a specific area e.g. MySQL/Oracle and PHP, Object Orientation with PHP. How long do you want them away on a training course. A day? A week?

Advanced: PHP4/Oracle SQL, Session management

Beginner: General PHP constructs, moving onto array manipulation, HTNML interfacing etc.

A couple of days in the London area.

Hi there,
My company is searching for a "basic/thorough" training for PHP/SQL. I have a basic CGI-scripting in Perl-knowledge. XS4ALL is settled in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, but it wouldn't be any problem to come to London for a couple of days. Got any advice on how to find such a course?

Hi Albert,

I'm afraid I really can't help you out too much there. You see, I am not in London, but about 60 miles east of London. However, I would suggest that if you have done some work with Perl - particularly CGI, any transition to PHP should be fairly straight-forward. I would suggest that if you were to spend a couple of days with the PHP Manual and a few choice web sites you woul be able to learn all that you need in order to start some development.
