crypt()

how can i use the crypt() function ? i need to compile it. how can i compile it ? i'm working under w2k with an apache server and php 4...

I could be wrong, but I think you'll find crypt won't work natively under MS; certainly, not under NT4 - and I'm sure it's the same for W2k
