installing gd lib on win98,

can anyone help me in installing the gd libraries on windows 98.
i tried my best but of no use.i could not find any proper way on this site.
i don't know 'c' much.
please tell me step by step.

I have the same problem as ya. I can not run several php scripts cause I dont have that gd lib installed. For example I have got an error message like this:
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.0.1pl2 Content-type: text/html
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagefontwidth() in d:\www\test\button\button.php on line 27

If anyone can help me I would appreciate. Where can I find that gd lib?? Is it working on Win98 platforms?? Does it work only under unix alike platforms??

try to reach http://download.swwwing.com/php4
There ya can find several libraries already compiled for Windows.
I did not check them (I am about to). I hope they are what ya need. (including php_gd.dll)
