General Form/POST Question

Hi,

I have a form where customer names are displayed as a hyperlink to allow editing, deletion etc..., e.g. myurl?mode=del&customer=name

My question is this. If I use the back button on my browser, I recall this url and it, not-surprisingly :-), tries to repeat the same operation. Is there anyway to prevent this?

I have tried turning off the cache with the meta tags (pragma-nocache...) but this doesn't work.

Hi,

thanks for the suggestion but it doesn't seem to work.

The problem is that it is not HTML that is being cached, it is the actual URL

e.g. http://mysite.com/main/customer.php?mode=delete&customer=customer_name

So once this has been done once, if I hit the back button, it goes to "back" to this URL...

I've been racking my brains about this. It is not an uncommon way to handle web pages so somebody must have worked out how to prevent this from happening?

I'll keep digging around.
