It used to be ok on 800/600 but now it is hideous! About 80% of viewers will run at 800x600, someone needs a serious re-think

No, it's only a question of bad HTML markup. Tim used <pre>This is my comment. <script language="javascript: alert('Do something bad here!')">.</pre> in the main article while he should've used <code>...</code> since it doesn't screw up things and it marks up code fragments.

I use 1024 x 768, and it does not fit on my screen without scrolling either.

I run 1280x1024, and it fits. Barely.
It looks great at 1600x1200
hehe. Yeah, but then everything else looks so small... :) It's nearly impossible to read the file requestor in X11amp at that resolution.
