Showing of cookie

I am trying for the first time to set a cookie on my website.

setcookie ("SiteName", "Username");

1) do I have to insert the above in an 'echo tag' ?

2)As soon as I visualize the page, should I be able to find the cookie inside the cookie folder ?
example administrator@SiteName ??

No echo required, but make sure you put the code at the very very beginning of the page before any header info is passed, should be at the very top or you will get a nasty message stating Oops, sorry.

I tried that, but I still cannot find any cookie file on my computer once I viewed the page.

is it not working than ??

or is there some other step I must do ?
