Passing Parameter

Hi,

I want to pass a parameter without using ? or form hidden element.

Basically if the url is like :-
www.localhost.com/article/213/new

then artilce should be a php page which will handle 213 and new as a two different parameters.

Please tell me how to do this.

Not realy sure of it, but I recall something like redirecting all url's which start with /article to one central php-page, which extracts the info in the url (referrer-variable) and outputs the right page!

conclusion:only possible if you have access to the server routines!

If you're using PHP4, just register them as session variables -

session_register("variablename");

And on the next page...
(from within the global scope)
$variablename should be available to you.
(from within local function scope)
$GLOBALS["variablename"] should be available to you.
