reverse sorting

You guys were such great help last time that I thought I would try again with a different problem.

I am creating a database which will include news updates. The fields are:

id: Set as primary key and auto-increments. Will be used to give access to specific news updates when someone clicks on the title.

date: The date of the update.

title: The title of the update.

body: The actual text of the update.

author: Name of author.

I would like to be able to list them by date with the most recent first. However, since I am updating them in the opposite way I do not know how to reverse the list for displaying on my webpage.

Any help would be appreciated.

SELECT * from tablename ORDER by DATE DESC

When you select them from you database, just order by date with the descending directive:

Select * from NEWS order by ARTICLE_DATE DESC

...should do the trick.
