Stupid beginners question, sorry:
In PHP, or whatever, how can I send variables using POST without having to put a SUBMIT button on the page? Is this even possible?
You don't have to have a submit button for IE...people can simply hit ENTER on their pc, but I think netscape requires a submit button....or an image will do.
But if you are using a form to post data...it would seem odd that there is no button for submitting?
rgds, scott d~
Do you have to use the POST method? Perhaps setting a cookie would work equally as well for passing the var and then calling it back? Or do you specifically for some reason need to use the POST method?
Cookies seem like a better idea. Thanks.
Or you can write a javascript function to do the submit. And this can be activated by events, no buttons required...
