PHP and DB2

When we compile php with --with-ibm-db2=/usr/IBMdb2/V7.1/ everything seems to work,
As we start apache again it seems to start ok, but then it just crashes without any error messages.

We are using:
PHP 4.0.1 pl2
Apache 1.3.12-2
DB2 7.1 (Personal Edition)

This is getting very urgent as we have been struggeling with this for two weeks now.
If anyone can help us, please do.

I found the same problem and has been fixed by make symbolic link from /usr/IBMdb2/V7.1/lib/libdb2.so.1 to /usr/lib/libdb2.so and from /usr/lib/libdb2.so to /usr/lib/libdb2.so.1 and run ldconfig at last. Good luck.

This is a known issue with Apache DSO and PHP. If you want IBM DB2 support in your Apache, you'll either have to statically link PHP4 with Apache or compile PHP4 as a CGI. It won't work as a dynamic module, just segfaults Apache with no error messages.

I struggled with this one for a long time too.
