Determining if a server is PHP enabled

Hey all,

Is there any way to determine the presence of PHP on a server if the expose_php directive in php.ini is set to off? The reason I ask is one of the web development companies in my area is claiming to have developed a "WWW Browser macro language" which "provides a C-like language structure" and runs as a "binary CGI program" executing embedded code providing "user-defined data search, retrieval, manipulation and display". The name of this amazing new language they've written? PHTML. Does this sound suspiciously like PHP to anyone else? If this is in fact actually PHP I'd love to be able to call them out for stealing Open Source and passing it off as their own!!! The url, in case anyone's interested in checking it out, is:

Seems very interesting......I doubt it will be PHP.....no'one would be that stupid? I guess they named it phtml from their name "percipio".

It does seem kinda cheeky though.

Maybe you should ask them?

If you have a look at it more closely you'll notice that it describes phtml as a tool to create dynamic pages from a web browser.

It is just a way of building web apps for it's own system "Percipio Data Warehouse"

I don't think they're trying to pretend they copied PHP. It just sound similar.

it sure looks like they are being very vague as to what PHP (phtml) really is. They make no mention that it's an open-source tool that anyone can download - if you ask me they make it seem as if they developed it in-house.
