running a script on localhost

I have apache and php4 up and running as localhost on my pc. I create a basic script...how do I run it?

very simple:
(oh good evening...)

just type
http://127.0.0.1/*.php

This means that you own an phpscript and you called a valid ServerName for Apache.
And you should have the phpscript in the htdocs folder of Apache...
